My first own print!
Sometimes browsing Instagram brings more than you expect. At one point, I came across Docu.Magazine—a platform for photographers where they can have their photos printed in a sort of magazine (only on demand). After a careful review of my portfolio, they were willing to print it. Fantastic! The magazines will arrive mid-June. I’m very curious about the quality and the look & feel.
It’s a small magazine featuring a selection of my most beautiful photos—20 in total. A short statement serves as the introduction: What golfers don't see!
On the golf course, the focus is often sharply aimed at the next shot, the wind direction, the lie of the ball, or your score. It's a world of strategy, precision, and concentration. But what happens if we pause for a moment, put down the club, and broaden our gaze? Then a whole different world unfolds—one that often goes unnoticed by the golfer rushing from hole to hole.
This photo book invites you to discover deeper layers of the golf course, beyond the perfectly mowed fairway and the strategically placed bunker. It is an ode to the landscape in which this sport takes place—from the majestic coastlines where the ocean meets the green, to the serene forests where the morning mist still hangs between the trees. Each image reveals the breathtaking diversity of nature that forms the backdrop for every swing.
We delve into the nuances of color that paint the landscape: the deep emerald green of the greens, the golden yellow of the rough grasses at sunset, the clear turquoise of a water hazard under a bright blue sky, or the soft pastel shades of a dawn that makes the frost on the grass shimmer. These colors tell stories about the seasons, the weather, and the unique atmosphere of each moment.
This is a journey through the golf course as you rarely see it—the hidden vistas, the unexpected details, the moments of pure, undisturbed beauty that unfold while the sport of golf is in full swing or when tranquility has returned. These are the scenes the golfer misses when their eyes are fixed on the ball: the subtle patterns in the sand of a bunker, the way light falls through the leaves, the reflection of clouds in a water feature.
Let yourself be carried away and discover what golfers don’t see on the golf course:
a world of unparalleled beauty, captured through the lens in all its colorful and scenic glory.
